Urban October 2025:
World Habitat Days and the 20th Anniversary of Our Faculty!
This October, the Faculty of Design is once again hosting the traditional Urban October – Month of Design, which will shine a light on the importance of sustainable development, design, and responsible planning for the future of our cities and communities.
The central focus will be on World Habitat Days (WHD), celebrated in line with the global UN-Habitat initiative. This year’s theme, “The Future, with a Scent of Wood,” highlights wood as the material of the future in the context of sustainable urban living and design.
The programme will be rich and diverse – featuring conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and panel discussions (Design Talks) with international experts, representatives from industry and academia, students, youth, and the general public. These events will provide space for dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and collaboration in addressing today’s pressing global challenges.
This year is particularly special for us! As part of this year’s Urban October, we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Design – a significant milestone that reflects our commitment to quality education, creativity, sustainable development, and the support of young talent.
