Presentation of DRWO 4.0 at New European Bauhaus Days
Location: Center ROG, Slovenia
Date: October 24, 2024
As part of the New European Bauhaus Days (NEB) annually organized by the Faculty of Design, the DRWO 4.0 (Interreg Danube) project was also presented. This project, implemented by 14 partners from the Danube region, focuses on the digital and sustainable transformation of the forest-based and wood industry in the Danube area.
The main goals are to promote innovation, introduce Industry 4.0 technologies, and strengthen cross-border collaboration for the efficient use of forest resources and the added value of wood products. The project brings together researchers, companies, and institutions to develop sustainable solutions for the sector, reflecting NEB’s values through its commitment to sustainable forest management, efficient use of wood as a renewable material, aesthetic applications of wood, and inclusive collaboration among partners.
The encouragement of the use and innovative advancement of digital technologies within Industry 4.0 enables better monitoring and optimization of resource use, supporting a circular economy and reducing environmental impact. This aligns with the innovative approach advocated by NEB.
