On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the second creative workshop took place at the Holiday Home of the Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Slovenia, led by designer Petra Kocjančič. Blind and visually impaired participants explored the world of artistic expression through natural and recycled materials.
This time, we created small artistic objects—paintings, keychains, magnets, and other small, unique items. At the heart of the creative process was Slovenian cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from its rich traditional patterns, symbols, and motifs.
We worked with a variety of recycled materials, such as driftwood, wood scraps, natural moss, and other natural elements. Through touch, participants explored the textures of the materials and, using adapted techniques, shaped them into authentic and expressive works of art.
Each piece created carried its own story—a blend of tradition, nature, and personal expression.
*The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe programme and the Ministry of Public Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.
