Master’s Degree Admission – eVŠ Applications Open until August 27, 2025!

APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT
The application period is open until August 27, 2025.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the eVŠ online portal.

The Faculty of Design will offer the Master’s study programme in DESIGN in the academic year 2025/2026 in the following study fields:

• Interior Design
• Visual Communications and UX/UI
• Fashion and Textiles
• Design Management

Location of studies: Dunajska cesta 129 and Gerbičeva ulica 51, Ljubljana.

Admission Requirements

Applicants may enrol in the Master’s programme in Design if they have completed:

• A first-cycle study programme in Design or another first-cycle programme in the fields of design, arts, or architecture, and obtained 180 ECTS;
• A first-cycle study programme in other professional fields (technical, natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities), provided that they have passed the aptitude test and completed 30 ECTS worth of study obligations in the fields of Interior Design, Textiles and Clothing, Visual Communications, or Design Management before enrolment;
• A higher education professional study programme, adopted before June 11, 2004, in other technical, natural science, social science, or humanities fields, provided that they have passed the aptitude test and completed 30 ECTS in the above-mentioned study areas;
• A study programme from foreign universities, under the same conditions as those prescribed for students of the Republic of Slovenia. The equivalence of foreign education is determined in the procedure of recognition of foreign education.

Entrance exams

Date: Wednesday, September 8, 2025
Location: Faculty of Design, Dunajska cesta 129, Ljubljana

Written part (portfolio): The aptitude test evaluates the following abilities:

• Talent for visual and spatial perception and expression,
• Quality of artistic composition and execution,
• Talent for design, creative solutions, and artistic approach,
• Ability of observation and visual expression, drawing skills.

Oral part (interview): The aptitude test evaluates the following abilities:

• Motivation and emotional affinity for design,
• Objectivity (ability to express opinions, evaluate space, relations, conditions, etc.),
• Desire for change,
• Creativity,
• Ability to integrate content,
• Capacity for abstract thinking,
• Confidence in conversation and rhetorical skills.
