International Conference Cumulus Nantes 2025, Ethical Leadership – A New Frontier for Design

We are proud to announce that the Faculty of Design joined the Cumulus Association*. 

Veronika Gruden, MSc, Vice dean for Quality Assurance and Social Responsibility and Jan Krmelj, Vice dean for International Affairs participated as guests in the International Conference Cumulus Nantes 2025, Ethical Leadership – A New Frontier for Design, hosted by L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, France, from 3rd to 7th of June, 2025.

*Cumulus is the world’s leading global association for art and design education and research, bringing together over 360 institutions from more than 60 countries.

Highlights of the Conference:

Keynote Lectures:
Renowned designers, educators, and researchers shared insights on regenerative design, climate action, and innovation in creative pedagogy.

Paper Presentations & Panels:
Academic staff and researchers from around the world presented cutting-edge projects in design research, theory, and practice.

Workshops and Roundtables:
Hands-on collaborative sessions focused on knowledge exchange and exploring interdisciplinary approaches to education, technology, and sustainability.

Exhibitions and Student Showcases:
Participants explored installations, design prototypes, and creative works from students and institutions worldwide.
