Dialouge of collaborations
On Thursday, April 3, 2025, the Design Talk roundtable took place at the Town Hall as part of the GoinGreenGlobal Design Week. The event was exceptionally charming, relaxed, and connecting, as individuals from various fields of design gathered to discuss ethics and social responsibility in design.
Mag. Veronika Gruden Bole, Vice Dean for Quality and Social Responsibility at the Faculty of Design, opened the event with a warm introductory speech, outlining the course of the event. As the moderator of the roundtable, she created a pleasant and open atmosphere that encouraged a relaxed exchange of opinions.
The first speakers were Doc. Dr. Arbresha Ibrahimi, a member of the Young Designers Circle at the World Design Organisation, who introduced initiatives that promote ethical principles and social responsibility among young designers worldwide. Dr. Ibrahimi highlighted how this initiative connects designers who are committed to responsible action in their careers.
In addition, Anamarija Čuden, a master’s student and representative of the DOS Young association, inspired the audience by sharing her experiences working with young designers and presenting the important initiatives and opportunities offered by this design association. Anamarija also presented concrete visions that young designers have in collaboration with the local design community and shared valuable advice for entering the job market.
The event was filled with constructive debates and exchanges of ideas, giving the guests an opportunity to explore career possibilities and development in the field of responsible design. The event concluded after two hours of successful debates, which opened new paths for collaboration and connection among young designers, a key takeaway from the event.
A big thank you to everyone, and to the City Municipality of Ljubljana for providing such a wonderful venue and support at the Town Hall.
