Exhibition of student projects exploring wood – World Habitat Days 2025

On Monday, 6 October 2025, at 12:00, we will officially open this year’s World Habitat Days at the Faculty of Design, in the Laboratory for Creative Industries. The opening will also mark the launch of the exhibition dedicated to the theme “The Future, with a Scent of Wood”, highlighting wood as the material of the future.

The exhibition will showcase student projects – from conceptual spatial designs and models to a variety of products exploring the creative and sustainable potential of wood.

projects inspired by the Ljubljana Marshes,
sustainable housing concepts the Tiny House,
innovative collaborations with industry – from modular furniture for the elderly to a project dedicated to authentic and sustainable tourism experiences in the Slovenian countryside _Project PUŠ
expressive illustrations for EX -CENTRIC DESIGN from the project European Design Festival,
textile installations on the theme of Air, which were part of the BIEN 2025 _Biennial exhibition in Jesenice
fashion creations that will come alive this October at Ljubljana Fashion Week

This event will serve as the introduction to a rich programme of conferences, workshops, and Design Talks taking place as part of Urban October 2025.
