We are pleased to announce that the EU project MultisensoryArt is currently in its final year. The project brings together artists and designers from three countries: Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia.
Launched in October 2024, the project is dedicated to members of marginalized groups—specifically the blind and visually impaired. To date, we have successfully achieved the following:
-
12 workshops held for the blind and visually impaired.
-
5 exhibitions showcasing products created during these workshops.
-
Participation in several exhibitions across Slovenia as part of the traveling exhibition “The Charm of Wood” (Čar lesa).
-
A successful sales exhibition featuring works by blind and visually impaired artists.
-
6 sensory art exhibitions in Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia, specifically adapted for the perception of the blind.
Innovation and Inclusion
The common thread of all our activities has been the integration of cultural heritage and a sustainable approach. We have experimented with multisensory techniques, creating artworks that combine sound, scent, and tactile sensations. Through this project, we are providing the blind with access to visual culture presented in an innovative way.
Current and Upcoming Activities
We are currently in the process of creating sensory sculptures for an upcoming outdoor exhibition at Arboretum Volčji Potok. Additionally, we are preparing a multimedia interactive book and a video presentation documenting all the activities carried out throughout the project.
