Wishing you a joyful, bright and creative 2026!

The year 2025 has been a year of creativity, progress, and celebration for the Faculty of Design.

It was vibrant, inspiring, and filled with genuine human warmth — the kind that our students, professors, colleagues, partners, and all who touch the world of design alongside us bring into our community. As we marked our 20th anniversary, we felt more deeply than ever how precious the mission is that we co-create together.

This year, we celebrated successful projects, international collaborations, and new connections — from GoinGreenGlobal and Urban October, which surpassed all expectations with record international participation, to the wonderful international exhibition ExCentric Design at the European Design Festival, the Creative Intertwinings exhibition, and even to the runway of Ljubljana Fashion Week.

We were equally inspired by the exceptional turnout at our Information Days — a heartfelt thank you for the trust, curiosity, and sincere wish of young people to make our faculty their creative home. It has been a year of meaningful steps forward: from new international partnerships to the knowledge we exchanged and expanded. It was also a year of learning, growing, and shaping improvements — with the dedication we aim to strengthen even further in the coming year.

We proudly look ahead, as new year brings a special new milestone: the launch of FjorD, the Faculty of Design’s student newspaper — a new space for ideas, creativity, and the voices of emerging design talents. Our home on Dunajska Street also expanded physically this year — in 2026, we will open newly renovated lower-ground spaces with two additional lecture rooms, soon to be filled with ideas, conversations, and visions for the future.

May 2026 be bright, creative, courageous, and full of sparks — just like the journey we walked together this past year. We warmly thank everyone who co-creates our story. We are grateful for each moment of collaboration, for your energy, your support, and the shared passion for design that forms an invaluable part of our identity.
