Exhibition of unique products within the framework of the Multisensory Art project

On Friday, December 12th, we set up a selling exhibition of unique products at the Miran Jarc Library in Novo Mesto. These products were created by blind and visually impaired people during creative workshops within the framework of the MultisensoryArt project. By purchasing the exhibited items, visitors will directly contribute to a more accessible world of reading, as the funds raised will be used to purchase a book in Braille, an audiobook, or a reading aid that enables the blind and visually impaired to have a richer experience of learning, culture, and creativity.

Contemporary libraries have a multifaceted role in society that goes beyond merely lending materials. With this pilot selling exhibition, we aim to increase the recognition of the artistic works of the blind and visually impaired and encourage reflection on inclusive forms of cultural creation. The pre-New Year’s sales period simultaneously allows us to test the response of potential buyers, and the insights gained will be a valuable basis for preparing a study on the possibilities of more permanent sales of products made by blind and visually impaired people.
