Excursion for the “FROM WASTE TO BEAUTY” Project / GO!2025 Exhibition 

Yesterday, our third-year students visited key locations in Nova Gorica and Gorica, as well as the company Intra-lighting, d.o.o., as part of the “FROM WASTE TO BEAUTY” project for the GO!2025 exhibition.

The excursion began at the GO! 2025 communication office, where Ms. Andreja Repič Agrež, the marketing manager, provided us with detailed information about the activities of the European Capital of Culture. She also introduced the concept of BREZMEJNO.GO! BORDERLESS, which will guide the design themes for the project. We toured the city center of Nova Gorica and visited Trg Evrope, which is a key location for understanding the concept of a space without boundaries.

We then traveled to Gorica, where we met with Ms. Fabiana Vidoz. Together, we explored the exhibition space and the shop windows on Via Rastello, which will host the project’s exhibitions.

The excursion concluded with a visit to Intra-lighting, d.o.o., which will contribute lighting to the exhibition. Mr. Dimitrij Živec, the marketing manager, and the company founders, Mr. Furlan and Ms. Furlan, warmly welcomed us and introduced us to their lighting solutions. We toured their showroom in progress, where visitors can see and test their lights. The shop windows will be illuminated in a way that will bring our creations to life.

The Borderless Fashion Exhibition “From Waste to Beauty” will take place from September 1 to 20, 2025, in Nova Gorica and Gorica. We are excited that the Faculty of Design will be part of this unique exhibition.

The excursion was organized by Doc. Mojca Perše and Doc. Ivo Koritnik, with the initiative from Asst. Prof. Matea Benedetti from Benedetti Life.
