We are pleased to share that the 8th International Scientific Conference A.L.I.C.E. (Architecture | Landscape | Interiors | Culture | Emotions), co-organized by the Faculty of Design and EMUNI University, took place successfully on April 1, 2025, at the City Museum of Ljubljana, as part of the annual GoinGreenGlobal Design Week.
The event was marked by a wonderful atmosphere, a rich and diverse program, and outstanding participants from around the world. We are deeply honored and grateful that so many international and local experts, researchers, educators, students, and professionals came together to share their ideas, experiences, and energy.
The day began with opening speeches by:
- Prof. Nada Rožmanec Matičič, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Design, Slovenia
- Emeritus Prof. Rado Bohinc, PhD, President of EMUNI University, Slovenia
- Veronika Gruden Bole, MSc, Vice Dean for Quality Assurance and Social Responsibility at the Faculty of Design, presenting the topic Creative Pact for Skills – Working Group for Green Transformation
Morning Session Highlights
We were inspired by five excellent presentations:
- Prof. Dragan Ćalović, PhD (Serbia): Creating Values Through Design
- Assoc. Prof. Marija Miloshevska Janakieska (North Macedonia): Urban Bee Hives as a Tool for Biodiversity on University Campus
- Prof. Liliana Fernanda Del Villar Arias (Mexico): On the Ethical Inclusion of AI Decoded Voices of Biotic Nonhuman Beings
- Asst. Prof. Arbresha Ibrahimi, PhD (North Macedonia): The Case for an Oath for Design
- Laura Arango Zapata, BA (Mexico): Circular Biomaterials and Social Equity in Mexican Education
Afternoon Sessions – Two Parallel Tracks
The Fashion & Textile Session, introduced by Assoc. Prof. Damjana Celcar, PhD, and presented by Asst. Prof. Almina Duraković Korošec, MA, included contributions from:

A.L.I.C.E. 2025 once again proved that design has the power to connect, collaborate, and address the complex challenges of our time. We thank all those who contributed – through presentations, conversations, and their inspiring presence.
