
Faculty of Design hosted Prof. Dr. Óscar J. Martínez García, a renowned professor of design history from Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny (EASD) in Valencia. His visit is part of a strategic international collaboration that provides students with insight into current trends and methodologies in the field of design on a global scale.
As part of the undergraduate visual communications program, the visiting professor conducted an exceptionally engaging workshop titled “Symbology of Colors in Graphic Design.” Through lectures and practical examples, students explored the role of color symbolism in creating visual identities, conveying emotions and messages, and establishing effective communication with audiences.
The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding the psychological associations of different colors and their role in graphic design. Students gained valuable knowledge on how the thoughtful use of colors can enhance the visual appeal and functionality of design solutions, as well as strengthen brand identities.
