Day 3 of the International Design Week
The third day of GoinGreenGlobal 2026 at the Faculty of Design unfolded in a dynamic and content-rich atmosphere, offering students valuable insight into contemporary approaches to sustainable design, communication, and innovation.
The day was marked by the workshop Green Meets Cool: Contemporary Marketing of Circular Design, led by Prof. Dr. Dominik Walcher from the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (Austria). Through current marketing perspectives, students explored how circular design can be effectively communicated, understood, and integrated into broader societal contexts.
As part of the morning programme, Lynne Elvins (Design Rally, UK) led the workshop Brand Building, where participants focused on developing brands through strategic thinking, identity, and communication, while examining the role of design in shaping perception and value.
The afternoon programme featured an international lecture by Emil Saryusz-Wolski (Lodz University of Technology, Poland) titled BoråSpatial: Modular Greening Systems and Participatory Making Tools for Circular and Resilient Cities. The lecture addressed current topics of sustainable urban development, modular systems, and participatory approaches to designing public spaces.
The scheduled lecture by Tomato Košir was unfortunately cancelled.
Despite this change, the day maintained a strong sense of engagement and diversity. Students actively participated, exchanged ideas, and deepened their understanding of the connections between design, sustainability, and social impact.
GoinGreenGlobal continues to serve as a platform where different disciplines, perspectives, and creative approaches meet, offering students a valuable and enriching international learning experience.
